This is an 8x10 Polaroid Image Transfer composite. Both images are 8x10s. The background is a stained glass window of the oldest church in Vienna. In this day and age of digital manipulation and "re-touching," Polaroid image transfers have become somewhat of a lost art. Equal parts skill and a willingness to embrace its random qualities, the process involves exposing an image onto peel-apart Polaroid film and literally transferring the emulsion of the negative onto another surface. The resulting image is unpredictable, one-of-a-kind, and always magical.
I am a fine art photographer. My images, Soulshapes, invoke the inner landscapes of the soul - mystical, ethereal , contemplative, transcendent. My work represents my belief in creativity as a vehicle for "acknowledging the psyche."
